Hi everyone! Brooke & Brynn here. If you haven’t met us yet, we’re Vestique’s newest creative interns for the Summer. We’re here to tell you all about our adventure around Charlotte, and maybe give you some ideas for your own IG!
STOP 1: Pure Intentions Coffee 2215 N Tryon St.
First stop was right down the road from our headquarters! We fell in love with this mural as soon as we saw it. The colors are so vibrant and fun to liven up your IG color scheme for the Summer. If you’re anything like us, you’re always thinking about the flow of your feed.
STOP 2: Yellow & Red wall- We do not know the exact address of this place, but we do know it is right down the street from stop 1 and is still on N. Tryon St
As soon as the Florence Flair Jumpsuit came in, we knew we needed to find a yellow wall to make it pop. THANKFULLY, we found the perfect one. This building is a little rustic, and adds a boho/desert vibe to any outfit. Solid backgrounds, like yellow or red, are great to add contrast and really make a colored item pop.
The red wall paired perfectly with Brynn’s Pride and Pinstripes Top. It made the stripes pop and gave it a patriotic vibe. This would be a PERFECT 4th of July photo hint hint.
Stop 3: NoDa is hands down one of our favorite neighborhoods in Charlotte. The area has a ton of murals and accent walls, so you really can’t go wrong taking a trip to snag a few pics for your feed.
If you haven’t been to Popbar you’re totally missing out (gelato + unlimited toppings = great times). Not only are the gelato-sicles delicious, they also make for fun accessories in pics (until they start melting on you)!
Artist: Will Puckett
This one's for the girls brave enough to step out in the middle of the street, and are looking for a touch of color to add to their feed. The Neighborhood Theatre has a mural filled with yellows, blues, pinks and oranges. As you can see, standing in front of it with the road in the background, keeps it subtle but fun!
Smelly Cat Coffeehouse is known for its “Drink Coffee Be Cool” mural on the side of the building. We’re lovers of coffee and murals, so this was a spot we definitely had to hit up. Grab a cup of coffee and a quick pic while you’re at it.
The next place in NoDa we ventured to was this color block building. Denim looks GREAT on this wall, so if you have a new chambray top or dress, definitely stop by and snagged a pic.
STOP 4: South End Charlotte
A mural on the ground resembling a magic carpet? Who wouldn’t want a pic with that. We relived our childhood dreams of being Jasmine, in the movie Aladdin. This one is an interesting mural because it’s on the ground, instead of a wall, giving you some different options for posing. Lay on it, do a cartwheel, or get an awesome birds-eye view of your shoes. Don’t hesitate to ask the nearest pedestrian to stop and take a pic for you… after all, “do it for the gram.”
Looking for a funky photo? The Charlotte Art League has you covered. We felt so inspired by all the neon colors and abstract designs. This is definitely the spot to let loose and have some fun!
We had SO much fun adventuring around Charlotte and hope you had just as much fun reading this. Make sure to hit up these spots and let us know if you find any more!!
Oh, and check out Vestique's new arrivals (we're obsessed with them).
