Hi, tiquers! China here! I'm the assistant manager at Vestique Cary and so excited to be making my first appearance on the Vestique Blog! I'm going to share with you the low-down from fashion week across the world. With Paris fashion week at a close, it marks the end of another fall/winter fashion season. From New York City, to Milan, designers across the world gave us heart eyes with fresh fall and winter looks. Although these trends might be a couple seasons away in real time, we can’t help but share a few of our favorites from the fashion capitals.
First stop? New York City.
The ready-to-wear hub turned our fringe, fur and sequin obsessions into reality with these gorgeous ensembles (left to right) from Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren and Jenny Packman. Tory took our current 70’s vibe literal with the fur trimmed duster. And Ralph Lauren coined the term “boho prep”, with the fringe lined pants, suede fringe bag and classy white button up. Loving the fringe bag trend as much as us? We gotcha covered now with our “Fringe Worthy Clutch” and “Once in a Wild Clutch.”
Next stop, we’re heading across the pond, to the city of double decker buses & beer by the pints. London. Burberry stole our eye with their boho inspired, cut-out maxi with floral prints to die for. The off the shoulder floral mini dress (pictured on right) with mesh paneling is hot off the runway from London-based brand Mother of Pearl. The vibrant colors pop during the dark months of fall and winter. But because we love bright florals so much, our “Go Free or Go Home” maxi is the perfect alternative for the spring and summer months coming ahead! Why wait for winter?!
Our next destination is the city of Milan. Our dream vacation destination, and the city where fashion breeds its name. This year, Milan fashion week was all about the unexpected. Vibrant prints, eye-catching metallics, and unconventional silhouettes flooded the runways. Designers such as Gucci and Fendi took your typical, bland (and let’s be honest, sometimes boring) winter color palettes and threw them out the window, debuting designs with bright reds and baby blues. We obviously believe the little blue dress is the next LBD. And our “Rhythm and Blues Dress” is perfect until we can get our hands on some baby blue fall essentials.
Our final stop is the city of love. Paris, France.
It’s no coincidence this city thrives on romance and couture. From Chanel, Balmain, and Chloe, Paris fashion week offered hundreds of luxurious, romantic looks to choose from. We couldn’t help but fall in love with the beautiful cross between boho and romance brands like Chloe and Valentino offered. From light, airy fabric choices, to cheery pastels -- fall and winter just got a whole lot brighter. But it’s a good thing we have our “Sweet Treat Romper” and “Sight to See Top” to stay ahead of the trends and rock the boho romance look this spring.
And that wraps up our trip for this fall/winter fashion week season. Another season, another fashion week in the bag. With so many designs to choose from, we hope you liked our top faves. Comment below with some of your favorite looks! We’ll see you in September for spring/summer!
