New Year, New Resolutions

  1. Catch more zzz’s. It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with my job. My laptop comes to bed with me, my wheels are constantly turning and my car is rarely in park. My fiancé asked me the other day how many nights I think I’ve slept in my own bed since early November and the answer is very few. In 2016, I’m vowing to treat my body as a temple and that starts with getting more rest. One of my very best friends from childhood founded a pillow company called Night, and she sent me one a while back. It’s incredible ladies! Studies show that sleeping on silk is better for your skin and hair and after sleeping on the Night pillow—I can confirm it. I can go longer between washes with my hair and my face feels less dry in the a.m. Check them out here:
  2. Take better care of my body. Anyone that knows me knows I love to work out, especially barre and spin classes. While exercise is great and all, it is negated by a bad diet. When I’m on the road, my healthy eating habits go out the window just like my sleep. But this year, I’m going to find ways to get my greens on the go; starting by packing my meals for day trips and finding healthy alternatives to greasy fast food. Anyone have good recipes they can recommend? As I come across healthy + delicious recipes this year, I promise to share them here. This one is on my list to make this week: so I can pack it with me as a travel.1301p158-roasted-cauliflower-soup-m
  3. Be more thoughtful. So often I’m caught in the hustle and bustle of my every day life that I completely forget to send thank you cards, respond to an email or take the time and reach out to an old friend. Well, some of you might just be getting an out-of-the-blue-what-in-the-world letter or call from me in 2016! I’m going to do my best to let the people I love know it this year by little gestures and thoughtfulness. I’ve ordered stationary to help me stay motivated, how adorable are these notecards: monogram-stationery-flat-notes-01_2_1
  4. Err on the side of positivity. In life and in business, it’s so easy to harp on the negatives and forget just how much you have going for yourself. Well, sianara to that mantra because it’s positive vibes only in my house this year. This one will probably be the hardest for me, but I’m going to make every effort to remember during long weeks and tough months that my glass is half full—of wine, of course.
