Last Thursday was certainly a night to remember. I wish we could relive it over and over again. We packed over 125 people + 14 pups into our East Blvd. location in Charlotte for an evening of fur, fashion and fun. The first annual Rescue to Runway Fashion Show was everything we dreamed up and so much more.
If you've spent any time on our blog over the last month, you've seen the countless posts about our sweet fur babies. The vestique ladies are pretty much obsessed with our pups, so we were thrilled to combine our passions, fashion & animals, and host this event benefiting Halfway There Rescue of Charlotte.
Two different local news stations picked up our story and we were featured on Wilson's World on Tuesday and then on Fox 46 Charlotte with Charity Bailey on Thursday. The publicity helped because we completely sold out of seats and had to sell standing room only tickets on the night of the show--what a great problem to have!
Aside from the cutest runway show you ever did see, we had a doggy food truck, Yappy Hour Bakery, parked out front and loads of awesome prizes to be had throughout the show.
Here are some of our favorite pictures from the event, to see more visit our Facebook page.
If you're interested in adopting a furry friend, or even fostering one until they find a furever home, Halfway There is always on the lookout for volunteers. Click here to see how you can help.
We couldn't have done it without our sponsors.
