Easy, Healthy Chocolate Banana Smoothie

Okay, full disclosure... I'm a choco-holic. I LOVE chocolate and the darker the better. But of course, indulging this addiction can come at a price: hello hips. Lucky for you (and me), I've found a few options that indulge my sweet tooth without the guilt.

I recently discovered Silk Dark Chocolate Almond milk. This stuff is the best chocolate milk ever and it got me to thinking... what else can I do with this stuff? Well... lots actually. I'm going to share my two fav drink recipes. One to get your morning started and one to get your evening started. ;D

Dark Chocolate Banana Smoothie

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup┬áSilk Almond Dark Chocolate milk
  • Blender

DIRECTIONS:

For a super smooth, creamy smoothie I recommend slicing the banana into about 1" cubes and freezing for at least 4-6 hours depending on your refrigerator. However in a pinch, you can use a fresh banana and 1 cup of ice.

Add all ingredients to blender and puree until smooth. Serve and enjoy!

No sugar needed!! And this indulgent smoothie is only 209 calories and packed with potassium from the banana and calcium and more from the almond milk.

Dark Chocolate Martini

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 0.5 oz creme de cocoa liqueur
  • 2.5 oz Silk Almond Dark Chocolate milk
  • cocktail shaker and ice

DIRECTIONS:

Place a handful of ice in a cocktail shaker and add vodka, liqueur and dark chocolate milk. Shake vigorously and strain into chilled martini glass.
