Vestique Beauty–Girl Crush Alert

I almost always request Sephora and Ulta gift cards for holidays because I just looove make up. I can’t help it. Anything that’s gonna make me feel prettier, SIGN A SISTER UP. So today, I’m dishing on my all-time favorite product.

I’ve always been a bit of a spaz when it comes to beauty products. I’m not usually loyal to one brand. What I’m trying to say is when I walk into Sephora and some dude with a much better complexion and longer eyelashes than me offers to give me a “touch up,” I say “yes, please.” And then I usually spend whatever it takes to buy the look he creates on my face. All that changed the day I discovered Laura. Mercier, that is. I have a girl crush, y’all, and I’m not ashamed to admit it.

I’ve been using Laura Mercier’s Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer for 2 years now and I am obsessed.
First, here’s a rundown of my unruly skin. I’m 30 and used to loooove baking in the sun so by the time I wised up and realized that sunless tanner is so much cooler/healthier, I already had fine lines and age spots to deal with. I’ve got a freckly, uneven skin tone and am prone to breakouts around my chin. Sounds awesome, right?

Since I started using Laura Mercier’s product my breakouts have diminished, my skin looks more even and I have a newfound dewy, not to be confused with oily, glow.  Not to mention it contains SPF (no more freckles!). This stuff goes on super light. I brush it on with a foundation brush after I moisturize and voila. Rarely do I need concealer and I never use actual foundation. If I’m in a hurry, this is the only product I’ll bother putting on my face—it’s that good. If I’ve got more time, I’ll add Lorac Tantalizer to contour and Nars Orgasm to my cheekbones—more on those must haves another day.

How’s that for a rave review?

The only con I can think of is the price. At $44, it’s on the expensive side but I will say, this stuff lasts. A little goes a long way and it usually takes me around 3 or 4 months to completely use it up. If you’re interested in trying it, I get mine at Sephora but Nordstrom and several other big box retailers carry her line. My color is Natural Radiance, but sit down with a consultant and let them find the perfect match for your skin.

Cheers to you, Laura, for making my makeup dreams come true!
