Music’s Biggest Night

The Grammys are a night where music of all genres and fashion of all ages collide for two hours of performances, awards and hilarious tweets {you must watch with your phone in hand and scroll through your twitter feed -- it's the only way to properly watch any live show}.  There were great performances and touching acceptance speeches.  There were moments when the cameras scanned to celebs looking incredibly happy for their fellow artists, and moments when celebs did NOT look happy for their fellow artists {lookin' at you, Kanye}.

I love a good awards show and am anxiously waiting for The Oscars.  Here's a little run-down of what I thought of the night.

Best Dressed:

Taylor Swift is killin' it in this Elie Saab deep turquoise number.  The fuchsia Giuseppe Zanotti heels add just the right pop of color for the Grammys.

Chrissy Teigen is stunning in this skintight white Gucci gown.

Beyonce is classy and beautiful in this custom Proenza Schouler black lace dress.

Worst Dressed:

There are no words for the above looks.  From orange construction zone safety mesh, to black lace fail, to Disney Princess gone wrong... I just can't.

Favorite Performances:

I loved the Top Gun throw-back rendition of The Righteous Brother's "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" featuring Jessie J and Tom Jones.

Katy Perry turned her Prism ballad "By the Grace of God" into an anthem for overcoming domestic abuse.  The segment began with a message from President Obama and a domestic violence survivor. It was a powerful and meaningful performance.

I hope you enjoyed the Grammys!  If you didn't catch the show, you can see a full recap of the awards and winners here.
