Superbowl Sangria
Here's my go-to sangria recipe that even people that don't like wine love. I've included both a red and white version. I've included some suggestions on wine styles but to be honest, Two-buck Chuck works nicely in this recipe. So fruity, this one will catch up with you if you're not careful 😉

INGREDIENTS - Red
- 2 bottles red wine (my go-tos are Tempranillo, Chambourcin or Merlot)
- 1 to 1-1/2 cup cranberry-pomegranate juice (you can also use plain cranberry)
- 1/2 cup rasperry liqueur for more sweet
OR
- 1/2 cup triple sec
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup light brown sugar (trust me)
- 2 oranges sliced lengthwise
- 1 granny smith apple sliced in spears or cubed
- 1 red delicious apple sliced in spears or cubed
- 1-1/2 cups frozen red or white grapes

INGREDIENTS - White
- 2 bottles white wine (my go-tos are Chardonnay, Sauv-Blanc or Pinot-Gris)
- 1 to 1-1/2 cup white grape juice (you can use white cranberry for a more tart sangria)
- 1/2 cup triple sec
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 orange sliced lengthwise
- 1 lemon sliced lengthwise
- 1 granny smith apple sliced in spears or cubed
- 1 red delicious apple sliced in spears or cubed
- 1-1/2 cups frozen white grapes
- 2-3 spears of fresh rosemary stalks

DIRECTIONS
First add the liqueur and sugar (to taste) together in your pitcher and stir until sugar dissolves. Then add the wine, juice and fruit save the frozen grapes. Add more of the juice if you want to taste less of the wine. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours and up to 6 hours. Add in the frozen grapes just before serving to keep chilled. You can garnish with fresh fruit or fresh rosemary with the white sangria if desired.
