Ringing in 2015 in Style

Happy New Year! Well, our NYE celebration was certainly not a let down this year. My 30th birthday and start to 2015 were pretty much perfection. I'm not sure why I waited so long to visit Nashville. What a fun city! If you haven't been yourself, I'd suggest adding it to your bucket list quick.

Here's a breakdown of our itinerary.

Night 1: Caroline picked up our rowdy crew from the airport and we headed straight downtown. We danced until our feet were sore and sang the night away at the honky tonks.

We were all 'tiqued out! The chilly temps made sweaters, scarves and flannel a must for this trip. I died over our Solstice Cardigan and have lived in the garnet one since the minute I saw it. Naturally, great minds think alike and Caroline packed her winter white version, so one of us was wearing that in a good portion of the week's pics. 😉 If you haven't tried that on yet, you're missing out.

Day 2: Recovery mode was in full force on New Year's Eve day. We lounged, got in our condo's hot tub and prepped for the evening.

Night 2: Birthday party time! Caroline and Ryan cooked us a fabulous dinner at Ryan's mom's place before we headed down to Broadway for the free street concerts and a little bar hopping, party hats and all!

I opted for a slight variation of one of the outfits I lined up for you in my last post. The Glamorous Kimono, which is now sold out online but still available in select stores, over a black piko and my favorite Faux Real Leggings worked well for Nashville's climate. It was way too cold for me to rock the dress. I am SO glad I got this kimono. I loved it and received so many compliments.

Watching the music note drop at midnight from the middle of Broadway, after getting to hear Lady Antebellum perform, was magical and the highlight of the trip for sure.

Day 3 (New Year's Day): We kicked off 2015 with an amazing brunch at Midtown Tavern. Food and company were top notch.

We may have skipped out on the traditional greens and black eyed peas meal, but this trendy little joint served up some of the best cucumber Bloody Mary's I've ever had. I wore our Stillwater Cardigan, paired with a new top and distressed denims that will both be coming out this week (stay tuned!) and tied it all together with my favorite bad-hair-day disguise, our floppy hat. The hat is sold out online but check out this one, which is similar or shoot us an email and we'll find you the exact one I'm wearing.

Night 3: Ended a lot like nights one and two...

We had a blast and will be reminiscing about this trip for many years to come! Hope your celebrations were just as memorable and you've come up with some solid resolutions to start the new year.

HAPPY 2015!
