Music City New Year’s Eve

Happy New Year's Eve Eve! I know for many of you NYE is #overrated. And while I tend to agree that this "holiday" can be sort of a let down, I'm hoping for more reasons than one that this year will be different. For those of you who don't know me, I'll start by telling you that I'm turning the big 3-0 tomorrow. Since this is somewhat of a milestone birthday, we decided to skip town and boot scootin' boogie our way to Music City for a Nashville New Year!

Despite my extreme love for travel, I've never been to Nashville and I don't own cowboy boots. BUT I can line dance with the best of 'em and I do know every word to Tim McGraw's "Next 30 Years" so let's hope that is played on full blast in one of the honky tonks on NYE!

My flight leaves in a few hours and I've got a suitcase full of vestique packed and ready to go. Still don't know what you're wearing to watch the ball drop? No worries, I threw together a few options for wherever you're ringing in 2015.

How dressy are your plans? If you're not sure, go with a safe bet--leather coated jeggings ($70) and this adorable peplum top ($32.50). Wanna spice it up? Throw on these leopard print pumps.

Got a fancier affair but don't want to show *too* much skin? This blingy little get up is super flattering with its cinched waistline and flowy skirt. At just $48 it's a total steal.

Going to a laid-back house party, but want to skip the jeans and top route? Try this ultra trendy plaid romper ($46). Wear it with a hat, tights and a bomber to stay warm and look hot.

Last but not least, for the look I've personally decided to go with...since it's going to be nice and chilly in Nashville, I'm wearing my favorite LBD ($36.50) and our 'Glamorous Countdown Kimono' ($65).

For more casual New Year's Day outfits, try one of these two easy-to-wear looks:

Our 'Softie at Heart Sweater' ($32.50) is a warm and on-trend option for brunching and exploring whatever city you're celebrating in this year. It looks great with our waxed jeggings in oxblood

If your friends are like mine, then you'll probably be struggling a little bit on Jan. 1. Here's a laid back ensemble that requires absolutely no effort but still looks fab.

Our oversized 'Back and Forth Sweater' ($50) is a personal fave of mine and looks great with a pair of ripped denim and a Half United bullet necklace. I threw in the headband because I know I won't feel like washing my hair and the 'Vancouver Booties' because they are my go-to pair for comfort and style.

Hope you all have a safe and happy NYE! We'll post a re-cap of our time in Nashville when we return. Remember to tag us on instagram and use the hashtag #vestiquechic.
