End of the Road

Do you know who Amos Lee is? Have you heard his music?

If you answered no to either of the above questions, shame on you!

I'll admit, I haven't always been an Amos Lee enthusiast. I liked his stuff, but it wasn't my go to Pandora station or anything. Well, that all changed last night when I went to see him live at the Durham Performing Arts Center. The tickets were a gift a few months back and to be honest, the concert kind of snuck up on me. In fact, I almost sold them in order to have prime seats at a bar for the Panthers game instead. SO GLAD I DIDN'T. What an incredible concert it was. I said over and over again throughout the show that I think his voice is the best I've ever heard live.

His encore really did make my month though...here's a little snippet from what he played.

Were you as obsessed with Boyz II Men as I was?! I played their tapes (omg-I'm old) and CDs out. When Amos--we're totally on a first name basis now--busted this song out to close the show, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

I would have taken a post-concert photo but my date was preoccupied with getting us to the nearest bar to catch the second half of the Panthers game.  I was so excited to wear our brand new "The Socialite" in black as a dress with black tights and booties. It was adorable and super comfortable. They are selling so fast online tonight that I don't know if they'll be around for long, but take a look here.

Excuse me while I go back to listening to Amos on Pandora...Keep it Loose Keep it Tight is my current song crush. Enjoy!
