But last night, I felt like an elf in Santa’s workshop. Caroline’s sweet mommy drove all the way up from Salisbury to help us cross things off our to-do list. She brought us clothes racks to get us organized and she let us put her right to work. At one point, I glanced around our “workshop” and Caroline was steaming clothes and hanging them on our new racks. Joy was measuring a pile of dresses bigger than her and jotting numbers down on a notepad. I was sprawled out on the floor uploading images and writing descriptions for the site. Meanwhile, Nick was a few rooms over working away on the backend of the site.
In closing, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite excerpts from the movie Elf.
Buddy (talking to Miles the midget): Did you have to borrow a reindeer to get down here?
Miles: Hey, jackweed, I get more action in a week than you’ve had in your entire life. I’ve got houses in L.A., Paris and Vail. In each one, a 70 inch plasma screen. So I suggest you wipe that stupid smile off your face before I come over there and SMACK it off! You feeling strong, my friend? Call me elf one more time.
Buddy: He’s an angry elf.
No angry elves here! We’re so lucky to have so many people willing to help us get the work done!
